Coconut Bliss.

I went over to my friend Lenore's (and Cesar's) place on Friday and was introduced to the best thing ever... for now =).

I have been trying to cut back on my dairy intake lately since I seem to not feel so well after I eat it. However, there are certain dairy things that I absolutely love to eat including Blue Bell's Homemade Vanilla Ice cream (if you are from Texas you will understand) and Cowgirl Creamery cheese.
I thought I couldn't give up Blue Bell's ice cream, but then I was graced by an introduction to Luna and Larry's Coconut Bliss; it is truly amazing (http://www.coconutbliss.com/index.html).

It's creamy (but not diary) , rich, and smooth. It comes in 8 different flavors (currently), and so far I have tried Naked Coconut and Cappuccino. Lenore also had Cherry Amaretto, but I'm not that fond of Cherries in ice cream so I didn't try it.

Anyways I really recommend trying this ice cream, even if you don't have trouble with dairy... it's so freaking good. I am not sure if it's sold in normal grocery stores, but you can definitely get it at health food stores like Whole Foods and Rainbow Co-op.

Thanks for the introduction Lenore!

Side note: I'm not giving up on the Cowgirl Creamery cheese unless someone can suggest something just as yummy.

Crissy Field.

These are some photos I took while hanging out at Crissy Field on a Sunday morning. The field is a 7 to 10 minute walk from my apartment.

The infamous Golden Gate Bridge.

Microsoft Paint.

In six or seventh grade, I had to take a computer class during summer school. The only thing I retained from that class was how to deform images in Microsoft Paint.

I decide to put that skill to use on a photo that I took. I think it looks kind of cool. Anyone? I know most photo editors would look at me like I'm crazy... I could probably do something cooler in Photoshop, but it takes some skill to use ghetto-ma-fied MS Paint and I have that skill, so ha!

What Should I Do With My Life? | Fast Company

I found this article by way of a friend's GMail chat status and thought this article fit perfectly with where I am in my life. I was attracted to it because my friend had highlighted the following quote:

"Keeping your doors open" is a trap. It's an excuse to stay uninvolved. I call the people who have the hardest time closing doors Phi Beta Slackers. They hop between esteemed grad schools, fat corporate gigs, and prestigious fellowships, looking as if they have their act together but still feeling like observers, feeling as if they haven't come close to living up to their potential.

A link to the full article is below, so check it out and relay your thoughts. Also thanks to Jay K. for sharing the article (I doubt he even reads my blog, but I'll give credit where credit is deserved...)

Meghana.

... or maiden as the Deccan Herald likes to call her.

It only seems like yesterday when Meghana and I were chatting about what we really wanted to do in life... I'm still trying to figure it out, and I'm extremely proud to say Meghana is well on her way of pursuing that dream.

So as her career blossoms, I will continue to follow her. Since she is my friend, I hope I'm privy to insider information. And all of you can continue to read about how an Indian American takes over the Indian movie scene (well at least the Karnataka movie scene) .

Also, no requests for autographs please =).

Congrats Meghana! As soon as I can find the link to the original article I'll provide it. For now you'll have to click on the picture to blow it up and read it.

Happy New Year.

Hi everyone,
Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful night. I have many resolutions for the new year, but I will only share one of them.

For the first time in my entire life, I am going to learn how to swim(I hope)! Yes I don't know how. And before you go and make fun of me, which you can if you want...because words will never hurt me (I think), I have a very valid reason for not learning.

What is your New Year's Resolution??

These are pictures from New Year's Eve at a family friend's house and at my friend Tom's house. Yes I went to two parties, I'm just that popular. Enjoy!

This is me with my friend/nephew, Dylan! We are showing you our train stickers =).

Aren't I awesome, I made everyone play clue!

The victims of my "clue" demands: Brijesha, Hiral, and Somit

Sonal and I having our own dance party. She is trying to seduce me and I'm trying to pick a fight, I'm glad we are in synch...

Sheetal = world's number one sister. I know, I know we look nothing alike.

Swirll.

There is this place in Houston that has opened up called Swirll. It's a frozen yogurt place, but unlike the TCBYs, Pinkberrys, and Froyos of the world, the machines and toppings are self-serve so you pay by the lb. Anyways this place was nothing to write home about EXCEPT that my shirt matched the color of their walls, how cool is that????
